How Do I Get More Google Reviews?

Most happy customers never leave a review because nobody asked. Ask every one, make it one tap, and do it while the job is fresh.

A simple system

  1. Get your direct review link from your Google Business Profile ("Ask for reviews").
  2. Ask right after the job is done, by text or email, while the customer is still happy.
  3. Make it specific. Ask them to mention what you did and where. Reviews that name the service help people who search for it.
  4. Follow up once a few days later. Then stop.
  5. Reply to every review, good and bad. Future customers read your replies.

What not to do

Why reviews matter beyond stars

Reviews are one of the signals Google uses to rank map results, and AI assistants often quote review themes when they recommend a business. Recent, detailed reviews carry more weight than a pile of old ones.

FAQ

Is it allowed to ask customers for Google reviews?

Yes. Asking is fine. Paying, rewarding or only asking happy customers is not.

Why did some of my reviews disappear?

Google filters reviews it thinks are suspicious, such as many at once from the same place. Steady reviews over time are safer.

Should I respond to negative reviews?

Yes. Short, calm and specific. The reply is for the next customer reading it.
