How Do I Add Services and Products to My Google Business Profile?
Open your profile, select Edit services, pick from Google's suggestions and add custom services for anything missing. Give each a plain description. Keep prices and phone numbers out of custom service names, or Google rejects them.
Why services matter
Google says that when local customers search for something you offer, that service may be highlighted on your profile, and Maps users can see your full list under "Services." It's also one of the clearest ways to tell Google, and AI assistants, exactly what you do.
Add services step by step
- Go to your Business Profile and select Edit services.
- Select the suggested services that match your work. Google tailors these to your category; a plumber might see "Install faucet" or "Repair toilet."
- Add custom services for anything missing: Add more services, then Add custom service.
- Add details: select a service to add a description and, if you want, a price.
- Save.
Rules for custom services
Google automatically rejects custom services that violate policy. Keep these out of custom service names: profanity, gibberish, personal information, prices and phone numbers. Put prices in the price field, not the name.
Services in other categories
If you have more than one business category, you can add services under each one (Edit services, then Add a new business category). Group them so customers can scan them easily.
What about products?
Retail businesses in the US, Canada, the UK and Ireland can show in-store products, either uploaded with the Product Editor or synced from a point-of-sale system. Products must follow Google's Shopping Ads policy, and regulated products aren't allowed.

FAQ
How many services should I add?
Every service you actually provide. Each one is another specific match for what customers search.
Should service descriptions include my city?
Mention your area where it reads naturally. Write for the customer, not as a keyword list.
